Über den Autor
Bernice Resnick Sandler, senior scholar, Women's Research and Education Institute, Washington DC, is a pioneer in developing strategies for educational equity for women and girls. She has a long list of firsts, including the first reports on campus sexual harassment, gang rape, student-to-student sexual harassment, and the chilly classroom climate; and played a major role in the development and passage of Title IX, the law that prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions. She has given over 2500 presentations and has written extensively about gender equity. Harriett M. Stonehill is an educator and administrator who serves as director of the Megaskills Education Center in Washington, DC. She has trained Megaskills Leaders in 48 states and internationally, involving schools, community organizations, corporations and educators. She has coauthored comprehensive training guides with Dorothy Rich for training programs that build teacher/parent partnerships and is a noted speaker and contributor to journals. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of the District of Columbia.
