Speed Controller Design for SWDC Motor
This work presents a controller designed for a Series Wound DC (SWDC) motor. We have chosen only magnetically linear model of SWDC motor. As might be perceived, controller design of SWDC motor contains two control loops, Inner loop for armature current control and outer-loop for the control of motor speed by way of torque generated by electrical subsystem. The control techniques shall generally involve the use of transfer function and state space models of SWDC electrical and mechanical subsystems.
