To help achieve this goal, the authors are assisted by an advisory editorial board of fifteen leading scholars from across Europe. Topics that have been given strong coverage include language and communication, group processes and intergroup relations, prejudice and discrimination, culture, social cognition, self and identity, social representations, and the historical context and background of social psychology. The Authors Michael Hogg is Professor of Social Psychology, Director of the Centre for Research on Group Processes, and Director of Research for the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Queensland, Brisbane. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. He has previously lectured at Bristol University, the University of Melbourne, and Princeton University, and has also held posts at Macquarie University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has published over 170 scientific books, chapters and articles. Graham Vaughan is Professor of Psychology at the University of Auckland where he also served as Head of Department for 12 years. He was President of the Society of Australasian Social Psychologists in 2000-01. He has previously held posts at Bristol University, Cambridge University, the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme in Paris, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Princeton University, and the National University of Singapore.
