Über den Autor
Paul Prescott is Professor of English and Theatre at the University of California, Merced (USA). He has acted, adapted and taught Shakespeare in a range of countries and contexts, from Cuba to Australia. His books include Reviewing Shakespeare: Journalism and Performance from the Eighteenth Century to the Present (2013), the Arden Performance Edition of Othello (2018), and furthermore, as coeditor, A Year of Shakespeare (2013), Shakespeare on the Global Stage(2015) and Shakespeare on European Festival Stages (2022). He is the co-founder of the annual festival Shakespeare in Yosemite in Yosemite National Park, California, and has adapted many of Shakespeare's plays for a range of professional companies, including the National Theatre of Great Britain.
