The content of this book describes that the efficient synthesis of 6-chloro-2-methyl-4-phenylquinolin-3-yl)-3-aryl-prop-2-en-1-ones (Chalcones) from 6-chloro-2-methyl-4-phenylquinoline and their efficient conversion into pyrazoline derivatives. Since the quinoline, chalcone pharmacophore and pyrazoline moiety are having biological importance.
