In recent years, the demand for processing of biomedical images has been steadily growing due to an emerging developments of imaging tools in biomedical area. The main task of this book was to reconstruct the 3D image of a mouse axon from its 2D cross-section images. New mathematical methods were designed to achieve this. Über den Autor
Dr. HONGMIN CAI received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, P.R.China, in 2001 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degrees from Hong Kong University in 2007. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Center of Bioinformatics, Harvard University and SBIA in University of Pennsylvania.
