This book deals with protection of personal data in sub-Saharan Africa. Its central aim is to cast light on perception of privacy and regulation in the sub-region taking into account the culture, political set up, as well as economies of the African states. Alex B. Makulilo, Dr.jur. is Senior Lecturer of information and communi-cations law at the Faculty of Law, Open University of Tanzania. He is the author of numerous contributions published by internationally renowned journals. Makulilo is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Bremen, Germany.
