The present work comprises ecological studies on two wetland sedges namely C. articulatus and C. laevigatus in the Nile Delta coast. The effects of water level and nutrient additions on growth and chemical composition of both species were also evaluated. This book mainly aims to shed light on the potential use of natural wild plants as animal feed resource. The ecology of two wild sedges namely: Cyperus articulatus, and C. laevigatus were studied. Forage qualty paramters were also investigated. Experimental work was made for both target sedge plants

Dr. Serag completed his phD in Ecology from Mansoura-Lund Universities Channel System 1989. Currently working as professor of Ecology at Damietta university. He Published more than 85 research papers in national and international journals. He is interested in plant diversity and management of natural resources.
