Present study enlightens the importance of Osyris quadripartia with respect to the ethnobotany, phytochemistry and biological activities. It is noticed that the plant wood is used for extraction of essential oil as well as the plant as a whole has great importance ethnobotanically. It is noteworthy that the plant is with great medicinal potential especially with respect to anti ulcer activity, antioxidant activity, anti microbial activity and anti malarial efficacy.
