Photovoltaic energy science and its application in Pakistan
Pakistan has a severe electricity load shading problem. Government is trying to find out all ways for electricity generation. Alternative energy development board (AEDB) is working to find out the energy potential using all alternative resources. Board has an objective to produce 9700 MW by 2030. The scope of AEBD is to utilize all source of renewable energies i.e. Solar Energy, Photovoltaic Energy, Thermal energy, wind energy, Biogas energies etc. but in our study we have described photovoltaic energy, its efficiency, types and scopes.
