For preschool children who encounter peer adversities, school could turn out to be a daily struggle.Because of the possible emergence of peer rejection early in a child''s life and its potential negative impact on the quality of school life, it is important for early childhood educators to address the issue. Joanna Tay-Lim is a lecturer with the Early Childhood and Special Needs AG, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She holds an MEd (Early Childhood) from the same University. Joanna has taught at junior colleges and in early childhood settings. She has also been a teacher-trainer for early childhood courses.
