A problem presented by many small companies is related to lack of knowledge or negligence regarding safety regulations. An example of a small company that has this difficulty is the furniture industry, known as carpentry. In most Brazilian carpentry shops, the machines used are in poor condition, and the employees who operate them are not qualified or trained to do so.
