Optimal Placement of FACTS Devices with Wind Generator in Power System
This work presents a simple and reliable optimization approach to optimally allocate the thyristor-controlled series compensator (TCSC) and unified power flow controller (UPFC) in wind power connected deregulated power system. In the presented approach, only optimal power flow (OPF) formulation of MATPOWER is used and the rest work has been done in the MATLAB coding to develop the proposed approach.
