Über den Autor
Adriana Leiras is associate professor of the Industrial Engineering Department as well as founder and coordinator of Lab HANDs - Humanitarian Assistance and Needs for Disasters at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and she is also a contributing professor of the Post-Graduate Program in Logistic Systems Engineering at the University of São Paulo. Adriana holds a PhD in Engineering of Logistics Systems at USP (2012), a PhD in Production Engineering at PUC-Rio (2011) and a Master degree in Production Engineering at PUC-Rio (2006). She is the leader of the regional humanitarian logistics and disaster response operations project of MIT SCALE Latin America Network, President of the POMS Caribbean & Latin American Chapter and General Chair of the 2018 POMS International Conference in Rio. Carlos A. Gonzalez-Calderon is associate professor at the National University of Colombia, in Mendellin as well as a research associate at the Rensselaer Polytechnin Institute. He holds a PhD and a ME degree on Transportation Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnin Institute in Try, New York. Carlos has research experience on freight transportation engineering, acquired through research projects with the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF), Center of Excellence for Sustainable Urban Freight Systems (CoE-SUFS); the Center for Infrastructure, Transportation, and the Environment (CITE) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; the Department of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the Universidad de Antioquia at Medellin, Colombia.Irineu Brito Jr holds, from the University of São Paulo, a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, a masters degree in Logistic Systems Engineering and a PhD in Production Engineering. He is currently a professor at the Institute of Science and Technology of the Júlio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State University, at the Campus of São José dos Campos. Irineu is also a researcher at the Disaster Research Center of the University of São Paulo. he mainly works with following subject areas: operational research, logistics, humanitarian logistics, disaster management, location of facilities, materials management and physical distribution.Sebastian Villa currently works at the Faculty of Administration at the Los Andes University in Colombia. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Switzerland, a Master degree in Science in Engineering and a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Sebastian does research in Supply chain management, Business Administration and Behavioural Economics. His most recent publication is 'Transshipments in Supply Chains: A Behavioral Investigation'.Hugo Tsugunobu Yoshida Yoshizaki has, from the University of São Paulo, a PhD in Production Engineering, a master's degree in Transport Engineering and a bachelor degree on Naval Engineering. In 2008, he had a senior research fellow at the London School of Economics and he is currently associate professor at the University of São Paulo where he coordinates the Specialization Program (Post-Graduation Lato Senso) in Business Logistics of the Polytechnic School. Hugo is scientific coordinator of the Nucleus of Research Support of the Center for Studies and Research on Disasters of São Paulo and deputy coordinator of the NAP Center for Innovation in Sustainable Logistics at the same university.
