Über den Autor
Barbara le Bas is the middle child of Albert le Bas. Growing up in Dublin with a magician father and mother who worked as his sidekick in magic performances, she was surrounded by all things magical. To this day, she has never lost her love and fascination for this ancient craft.Like her father, she sought out new and exciting challenges and in 1995 with her husband and three children she moved to Australia. Barbara lives in Sydney with her husband of 32 years Niall O Leary.An Occupational Therapist by profession Barbara has dedicated her working life to clients with mental health issues; she currently works as a senior clinician on a mental health crisis team and was awarded a citation by the Premier of NSW (The Bushfire Emergency Citation) for her role in the emergency response effort to combat the 2019-2020 bushfires.Along the way Barbara has also completed a diploma in visual arts and her paintings have been exhibited in a Sydney gallery.It has long been on her mind to write this story about a man who nearly 50 years after his death is still regarded as Ireland's foremost magical entertainer. She has finally done it!Oofle Dust is her first book and tells this magical tale of her father Albert Le Bas.
