Numerical Study for the Effect of Coastal Structures on Shoreline Change
The present study applied a numerical model to investigate various configurations of the perched beach including submergence ratio of the breakwater, groin with/without gap, the gap width/location and emerged/submerged groin. These configurations have been compared from the point of view of wave heights, currents velocities, flushing and shoreline changes to develop general guidelines for the design of similar constructions.
