Über den Autor
Donal Bateson is the Senior Curator in the Hunterian Museum and Reader in Numismatics at the University of Glasgow. He studied Archaeology at Queen's University Belfast. He is Curator of the internationally renowned Hunter Coin Cabinet and has published widely in numismatics especially on the coinage and currency of Scotland. He organised the highly successful XIVth International Numismatic Congress Glasgow 2009 and the Fédération Internationale de laMédaille d'Art Congress FIDEM XXXII Glasgow 2012. Dr Bateson is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, Honorary Fellow of the Royal Numismatic Society and past Vice-President of the International Numismatic Council.N. M. McQ.
