The Monte Carlo library least-squares (MCLLS) approach essentially consists of using Monte Carlo simulation to generate the libraries of all the elements to be analyzed plus any other required background libraries. Fusheng Li is a Scientist at Baker Hughes Inc, Houston TX. Dr. Li earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, where his main research involved with Monte Carlo Computer Simulation and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) elemental analysis. He also holds an M.S. Degree in Statistics from N.C. State.
