This research work was carried out to make a comparative study of monoterpenes present inin vitro and field grown plants of Mentha arvensis L. (Japanese mint). Apical and nodalexplants of M. arvensis L. were cultured on MS agar-solidified media with different-1concentrations of BAP (0.2 to 1 mgL) for shoot induction. Best response of shoot induction-1% age was achieved on MS medium supplemented with 1mgL BAP from both apical andnodal explants.
