Revision with unchanged content. The energy system needs to undergo major transformations before the system will fulfill sustainability criteria. To understand most of these changes, modelling of the system is necessary. This work sets out a modelling approach that is particularly suited to systems with significant geographical and temporal dependency - especially systems with a high share of renewable energy. Über den Autor
Studied physics at the University of Augsburg and finalized his Phd about modelling of energy systems at the Max Planck Institute for Plasmaphysics. Afterwards he worked for one year at the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas in Madrid and is currently employed at the Austrian Research Centers GmbH in Salzburg.
