Methods in Karst Hydrogeology
IAH: International Contributions to Hydrogeology, 26
The importance of investigating karstified aquifers lies in their significance as a major source of drinking water. This book describes methods that are basic to all hydrogeological studies, such as hydraulic investigations, hydrochemistry, geophysics, isotope chemistry and modelling, but with a focus on their application to karst systems.

Über den Autor
Dr Nico Goldscheider studied geology at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and has been Senior Lecturer at the Centre of Hydrogeology at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland since 2002. He is a specialist in karst hydrogeology, tracing techniques and groundwater quality monitoring, and has an interest in the microbiological aspects of karst hydrogeology.Dr David Drew studied at the Universities of Nottingham and Bristol, UK. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Geography at Trinity College Dublin. His particular research interests include the hydrogeology of karstic areas and human interaction with the karstic environment.
