Animals have accompanied us and assisted us in ways we have lived since our very beginning. Animals and animalistic features have appeared in man made creations for centuries but the way we are using animals in contemporary design only seems to be have been recognised recently. Products that we buy and own define us: they make us feel a certain way and in turn, they make others feel a certain way about us. Products stand for who we are as they tell stories about what we've done and where we've been. Über den Autor
John Cuppage studied Industrial Design in Ireland, graduating from the National College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Design (Hons) in 2006. Since then, he has designed a variety of products, the most recent being animal inspired home wares for his own company. He is now concentrating his work in toy design and is currently based in Denmark.
