Über den Autor
L. J. K. Setright was a writer for Car magazine for over thirty years, as well as writing for the Independent and other newspapers. As a world expert on tyres, he expressed forthright views on subjects such as speed limits, taxation and pollution, and offered fascinating divagations on anything from the origins of the word 'dashboard' to the maximum speed of a raindrop (18mph, unaided by wind). He died in September 2005.
