Cancer is a global health issue among humans for centuries. A heterogeneous disease that may arise from any site like hypo-pharynx, oro-pharynx, lip, oral cavity, naso-pharynx or larynx is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Almost 90% of head and neck cancers are squamous cell carcinomas. It is ranked sixth among all cancers globally with reported new patients (630,000) identified per year. Males (21%) suffer more from head and neck cancers than females (11%) across Pakistani population respectively.
