The purpose of the study for this book was to gain an understanding of what e-Learning executives believe to be the critical success factors for companies to successfully define, design, develop, and deliver training and education over the world-wide web. The study was a qualitative, multiple-case study design including: in-depth, semi-structured interviews that incorporated verbal critical incident examples; analysis of extensive forms and observations; and it incorporated a validated survey tool, the Dimensions of the Learning Organization Questionnaire (DLOQ). The book begins with the research problem, purpose, research questions, design, and method. A detailed literature review is followed by a detailed explanation of the study design.
