Über den Autor


James Tully is the Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Political Science, Law, and Philosophy at the University of Victoria. He is the co-editor of over sixty volumes of Cambridge University Press's celebrated 'Ideas in Context' series (1996-2014) as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In addition to his numerous scholarly books and academic accomplishments, he served as an advisor to the Canadian Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (1993-1996). He has held positions at McGill University and University of Toronto.Alexander Livingston is Associate Professor in the Department of Government at Cornell University. His research addresses social movements, civil disobedience, democratic theory, and the history of twentieth-century political thought. He is the author of Damn Great Empires! William James and the Politics of Pragmatism (2016).
