The present study develops a model for reservoir operation for irrigation of multiple crops toward this goal and a demonstrates its applicability through a case study of an existing reservoir system in Karnataka state, India. Chapter 1 gives an introduction to the problem and the objectives of the study. Chapter 2 gives a brief review of the relevant literature. Professor D. Nagesh Kumar is working as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. He obtained Ph.D (Engg) from IISc in 1992. He has published more than 180 papers in leading international journals and conferences. He has co-authored three text books.
