Aboriginal people in Canada have a lengthy history of having education policies forced upon them, often without their participation in the decision-making process. Über den Autor
Karen Favell is an Ojibway instructor in Aboriginal Education at a college in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She has an M.Ed. from the University of Western Ontario and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Manitoba. Her research focuses upon integrating Aboriginal music and art into Aboriginal post-secondary education programs.
