Hemeoxygenase and leptin in pre-eclamptic women

Pre-eclampsia is the most common medical complication of pregnancy associated with increased maternal mortality. The aim to evaluate heme oxygenase, leptin and coenzyme Q10 in pre-eclamptic women. 60 women were included in this study and classified into three groups each group contain 20 patients. The results showed that in pre-eclampatic group each of leptin, ferritin, iron, AST, ALT, creatinine, copper, Cu / Zn ratio, uric acid was significantly increased while COHb, coenzyme Q10, total iron binding capacity, zinc, bilirubin was significantly decreased.
