His authored books include The Alienation of Fact: Digital Educational Privatization, AI, and the False Promise of Bodies and Numbers (MIT Press 2022), The Swindle of Innovative Educational Finance (University of Minnesota Press 2018), The Politics of Education: A Critical Introduction, 2nd Edition (Routledge 2018), and Scripted Bodies: Corporate Power, Smart Technologies, and the Undoing of Public Education (Routledge 2016). Nicole Nguyen is associate professor of educational policy studies at the University of Illinois-Chicago. She is author of Suspect Communities: Anti-Muslim Racism and the Domestic War on Terror (University of Minnesota Press, 2019) and A Curriculum of Fear: Homeland Security in US Public Schools (University of Minnesota Press, 2016).
