The rhodophytes (red algae) comprising about 4000 species have been of great interest due to their fascinating secondary metabolites which have been opened a new field for synthetic chemists. In Pakistan, research in the field of marine natural product chemistry has been carried out to a limited extent. Über den Autor
Prof. Ali has received an M. Phil. degree in 1988 from the University of Sussex (UK) under British Council Fellowship in bioorganic chemistry. He completed his Ph.D. studies from H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences in Marine Natural Product Chemistry.
