Glutamic Acid As Antineoplastic Agent
A Synthetic And Biological Approach
The investigation on glutamic acid analogs as possible antineoplastic agents started in the laboratories in the seventies. In continuation of this line of work several substituted amines were prepared and evaluated biologically. The main focus of this reaction work was to synthesize analogs of glutamic acid and look for their better antineoplastic activity. The structure of the synthesized compounds were confirmed and characterized with the help of IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Mass spectra and elemental analysis.
