Über den Autor
Born in 1942, Raymond Depardon is photographer and film-maker. He is considered as one of the masters of the documentary film and his photographic work has been acknowledged in France and abroad. A big exhibition of his color photographs was held at the Grand Palais in Paris from 14th November 2013 to 10th February 2014. His latest books published by Editions du Seuil are Berlin (2014) and Adieu Saïgon (2015). William Boyd, who is a famous British writer, pursued studies in Glasgow in the 70's. Moved by this reportage, which gives evidence of the Thatcher era, he reminds us the history of a rich and powerful city that has taken a new turn since the beginning of the XXIst century.
