Über den Autor
Amrik Singh has held numerous positions during his long and distinguished career including serving as Director of the South Delhi Campus, Delhi University (1973-75); Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala (1977-79); and Professor of English, Punjabi University (1963-65). He was also Secretary of the Association of Indian Universities (1965-82), and Visiting Professor for Educational Policy at the University of Wisconsin (1969-70). Dr Singh has written extensively on issues affecting higher education in India. In addition, he has founded and edited two journals; the Journal of University Education (1962-67) and Indian Book Chronicle: News and Reviews (1976-85).
