According to this study, any programme planned about soil and water resource conservation at local level should take in to account the effect of major determinant factors like farmers' age, sex and educational status related to the awareness of soil erosion problem; and age and training related to the awareness of SWC practices. Any Soil and water resource conservation programme which is provided for farmers should be modified by considering the existing soil and water conservation practices in a particular area. This enables farmers to aware and uses the appropriate type of SWC practices on their farmland.

Seleshi Wubishet was born in Dega Damot Woreda, west Gojjam Zone in 1972. He has got his first Degree in 2007 in Geography and his MA in Geography and Environmental Studies in 2012 from Bahir Dar University.
