Ergonomic Redesign and Evaluation of Children Bicycle to Protect Child Abdomen
This project reports on the ergonomic design of a bicycle for children considering anthropometric dimensions. To know the customers current needs, a survey was conducted. After it, anthropometric dimensions of target population were gathered in which sample size was kept 90. To make it safer for children, its handlebar is equipped with spring dashpot system so that it will reduce the impact in case of striking the handlebar with abdomen. Statistical tool namely Principal Component Analysis (PCA) has been used in order to identify the predominant parameters in the design.
