Effect of different herbicide molecules on weed control in transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.)
A field experiment entitled Effect of different herbicide molecules on weed control in transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) was conducted at Agronomy Research Farm of NDUAT, Kumarganj, Faizabad (U.P.) during Kharif Season of 2015 with an objective to find out the effect of different herbicide molecules on growth and yield of transplanted rice and associated weeds. The soil of experimental field was silt loam, having pH 7.82, organic carbon (%) 0.35; available N. P and K values to the tune of 190.55, 13.03 and 254 Kg ha-1 respectively. Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh is presently working as Associate Professor in Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Amhit, Jaunpur-II. He completed his Ph.D. from Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Naini, Allahabad. He has guided 6 M.Sc. and one Ph.D. student as major advisor. He has handled 5 research projects as PI / Co PI. He has published about 50 research papers.
