Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Miller)is the one of the most important and readily consumed fresh vegetable of the world. Tomato belongs to Solanaceae family also called Nightshade family. Other members of this family are eggplant, capsicum and potato etc. It is one of the most important growing crops of Pakistan.
