Effect of cement and GGBS on engineering behaviour of lateritic soils
Case Study
This book presents experimental data on LL, PL, PI, compaction characteristics, stress-strain characteristics and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) of a lateritic soilstabilized with varying amounts of cement and GGBS. Cement and GGBS were independently added to the lateritic soil up to 20% in increments of 5%. LL and PI respectively decreased by 23.5% and 49.5% when cement content increased from 0% to 20%. In a similar manner, when GGBS content increased from 0% to 20%, LL and PI respectively decreased by 16% and 30%.
