The information provided in this study introduce a picture of ecology of some of halophytes in Damietta coastal area which would be useful for conservation and utilization of halophytes in different purposes. Prof. Serag completed his PhD in Ecology from Mansoura-Lund Universities Channel System 1989. Currently working as professor of Ecology at Damietta University. He published more than 108 research papers in national and international journals and 10 e books. He is interested in plant diversity and management of natural resources.
