This book is an exploration of the viability of applying the post structuralist theory of intertextuality to early modern texts. Sarah Carter is a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern Literature at Nottingham Trent University, UK, teaching predominantly in early modern literature and gender/sexuality. Previous research includes the exploration of the reception of Ovid in the period which produced several articles and a monograph, Ovidian Myth and Sexual Deviance in Early Modern English Literature (2011).
