Dynamics of Skill Acquisition
An Ecological Dynamics Approach
With the study of human movement now bridging many disciplines, Dynamics of Skill Acquisition, 2nd Edition provides a timely analysis of the constraints-led approach. It presents a comprehensive model for understanding how coordination patterns are assemble, controlled and acquired. Perfect for students and practitioners, this new second edition offers an applied focus. Movement models throughout the text provide examples for visualising task constraints to enhance the understanding of motor behaviour. Athletes and sports teams are presented as specific complex systems, with information on designing and adapting programmes to fit their uniqu…
