End stage renal disease (ESRD) is a growing problem worldwide. At present the only forms of renal replacement therapy (RRT) are dialysis and kidney transplantation. Über den Autor


The author graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2002 with a first class honours degree in Biomedical Science. She obtained a PhD from The University of Manchester in 2006. The research from her PhD is presented in this monograph. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire.
