Aerobiology is the science that studies the biological component of the atmosphere and its effects on living systems and on the environment. Paolo Mandrioli, biologist and senior researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of the Italian Research Council (CNR), is also professor of Aerobiology at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the Urbino University, and past president of the International Association for Aerobiology.Giulia Caneva, biologist, formerly Director of the Central Institute for Restoration, is currently full professor of Botany at the Biology Department of the University of Roma 3.Cristina Sabbioni, physicist and senior researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of the Italian Research Council (CNR), is also professor of Chemistry Applied to Cultural Heritage and of Environmental Physics at the University of Bologna.
