Copula Theory: Introduction and Application to Meteorological Droughts
The book gives an overview of multivariate frequency analysis of meteorological droughts in three droughts effected meteorological subdivisions in India using copula theory and identifies hotspot region of severe drought. Further, it assesses link of meteorological droughts to large-scale climate indicators. An ensemble short-term drought forecast model is proposed based on teleconnection relation between drought and large-scale climate indices.
