Electrolytic manganese residue (EMR) is solid waste, approximately 6-9 tons of residues are discharged into the environment during the production process of per ton electrolytic manganese. Dr Tiefeng Peng, at State Key Laboratory of Coal Mine Disaster Dynamics and Control in Chongqing University, obtained his PhD from the University of Queensland (UQ), research subjects include comprehensive utilization of resources, interfacial forces and molecular understanding at micro-nano level, previously studied and worked at UQ & PNNL.
