Catalytic and electrical study of substituted cobalt ferrite
Buch
The catalytic activity and dielectric study of substituted cobalt ferrite nanoparticles was carried out by introducing the substituents like bismuth, copper and also the influence of method of synthesis on the activity was studied. In order to study the effect of method of preparation on the catalytic activity, cobalt ferrite and bismuth substituted cobalt ferrite (CoFe2-xBixO4 x = 0, 0.1) nanoparticles were synthesized by two different methods viz solution combustion and co-precipitation. Effect of substituents on the catalytic activity and electrical study of cobalt ferrite was carried out by synthesizing bismuth substituted cobalt ferrite…

Effect of substituents on the catalytic activity and electrical study of cobalt ferrite was carried out by synthesizing bismuth substituted cobalt ferrite (CoFe2-xBixO4 x = 0, 0.05), copper, bismuth co-substituted cobalt ferrite nanoparticles Cu0.5Co0.5Fe1.9Bi0.1O4 by solution combustion method. Decrease in dielectric constant and dielectric loss was noted by the co-substitution of bismuth and copper. Catalytic activity of cobalt ferrite, bismuth substituted cobalt ferrite synthesized by two different methods and copper, bismuth co-substituted cobalt ferrite were compared for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol using NaBH4 as a reducing agent.
