The present study aims: 1) To evaluate the biotic relationships between common birds and growing plants in the different habitat types in Damietta coastal area, the major habitat types recognized in the study area can be divided into aquatic and terrestrial habitats. 2) To develop data base about birds (resident & migratory) and plants in the study area. The data base will be useful for credible management measures. Prof. Serag completed his PhD in Ecology from Mansoura-Lund Universities Channel System 1989. Currently working as professor of Ecology at Damietta University. He published more than 108 research papers in national and international journals and 10 e books. He is interested in plant diversity and management of natural resources.
