Here we present a comparative study of fixation, with bioresorbable plates and titanium miniplates, for treatment of mandibular fractures. It was carried out to compare the efficacy of bioresorbable plates with titanium miniplates for adaptability, effect on fracture line, cost, complications. With our observations it can be concluded that bioresorbable plates exhibit negligible complications, good handling properties, no sensitivity in cold weather and good result in the management of mandibular fracture.
