Biodegradation of Malachite green
Decolorization and Degradation of Malachite green by Aspergillus and Alternaria species
Microorganisms are the nature`s tools for cleaning the environment. Biodegradation using Bacteria, fungi and Algae is becoming an attractive option for the treatment of industrial effluents containing a wide spectrum of pollutants including dyes and heavy metal ions. It is observed that the fungal species Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavua and Alternaria have the ability to degrade the malachite green dye upto 98.39% which is highly toxic and cause the water and soil pollution after releasing as a waste material from various industries.
